My top 3 in Paris
I always do a list of places that I really want to go. Don’t get me wrong, I love to get lost in a city that I barely know. But, you know, when you travel, you need to be a little a bit organized. Plus, Instagram is a gold mine when comes to find cool places to try. For Paris, my top 3 is a mix of places that I wanted to go for a long time and suggestions. 📝
1. L’Institut du Monde Arabe
There is a ton of museums in Paris. If it’s your first time visiting, I suggest you to not do a marathon of museums 🏃🏽♀️🙅🏽 but rather choose one or two depending on what you like. But you have to end up at L’Institut du Monde Arabe, here’s why :
- Their permanent exhibit is very completed and gives you a good introduction to the history of Arabs.
- They present a good variety of exhibitions every 3 months
- They frequently have workshops & discussion related to some exhibits
- They do cool events
- Their restaurant & cafe – I didn’t try it but I heard good things. Another reason to return!
- The architecture
- & the boutique!
A super selection of books is available at the gift shop. 🛍 From cooking books to comics, there is something that you will want to bring with you. If I could, I would have bought many books but you know, books are heavy… The boutique also carries home decor objects, jewelry & beauty products.
98 de Charonne street, 75011 Paris
I couldn’t leave Paris without enjoying a good place for the sweet tooth that I am. Because I asked Mufida, the founder of 7ob Paris, a good coffee place with North African delicacies, she suggests that we try Kanoun.
I was very pleased to discover a beautiful decor and a very tempting counter with an impressive variety of pastries. Specialized in Algerian sweets, Kanoun proposes the traditional mint tea and other variety of tea. 🌱
3. InterContinental Paris
2, Scribe street, 75009, Paris
As for my second meeting, I went to the café of the InterContinental. Nabila, the founder of Harem des Sens suggested that we meet there since its a pleasant place to discuss. I was delighted to be in this beautiful decor -sorry I don’t have many pictures. I recommend this place for an afternoon tea or for a meeting.
If you have other good addresses, don’t hesitate to share in the comments below. 🙃👇🏽
